This is a sponsored post written by me on the behalf of The Ultimate Sports Pro. Whilst it is a sponsored post any opinions cited below are my own.
I’m going to preface this post with a little bit about myself. I use my running belts for more than running. I use them for running, walking, for just everyday round the house listening to music when I’m dancing in my kitchen cooking, vacuuming, gardening… why? Because yoga pants don’t have pockets! Which is clearly a design flaw on yoga pants, but running belts mean I can get my groove on, hold all my crap, and not have to worry about having no pockets. Basically they are a WIN!

So I’ve reviewed a couple of running belts this year. Including ones that have no zips, pull on belts, and hydration belts, but for ME something was always missing. “What?” I hear you ask. When I get the dang things on, with all the stuff I need to take with me (phone, keys, cards/ID, poop bags) I get started and sods law is that my phone beeps or rings. When I’m running I don’t answer it, but as I mentioned above I use my running belts for more than running. And if I want to answer the phone or check a text, well it’s frankly a pain in the butt taking it out of the belt just to reply “k” or find out it’s someone I don’t want to talk to. I know, you feel me, you’ve been there. What a pain right? Well no fear the folks at The Ultimate Sports Pro got us covered sister with this ultimate running belt with a freakin’ clear cover so you can access your phone without taking it out of the belt! BOOM!
I know GENIUS right? So the folks at Ultimate Sports Pro gave me one of these bad boys to try out, because they know what an awesome runner I am I dig new fitness gear. First thing to note is that there are TWO sizes of running belt, for iPhone 6 and a slighter larger for the iPhone 6+. After some debate I went with the larger size*. Now I only have the regular iPhone 6 but I like room and I didn’t want the phone to be too snug plus I tend to carry a bunch of stuff. The other thing you need to know is that you get a set of earbuds too! *note also fits other size phones, see Amazon listing for full size details
So there were a few things I liked about this running belt. First is that the pack is totally sweatproof! I would like to mention that one belt I have I put my ID, phone, and some money in it and ended up with soggy notes. Because I sweat when I run, weird that. Anyway this pack is totally sweatproof, not waterproof, but my money and stuff didn’t get wet so Yay! Plus the pocket has a divider to separate the phone from your other stuff (keys etc) so that the phone doesn’t get scratched. Genius. There is a small hole to thread the earbud jack through which goes into the inner pocket so you can fully close the zipper!
The pack itself was spacious and expandable. Inside I had: my phone, earbuds, key(s), ID, poop bags, business cards (now they aren’t going to get soggy!). The waistband of the pack was really comfortable and adjusts easily. The elastic made everything really secure and the belt clips were pretty sturdy too. The little fabric loop with the logo actually came in handy too. I discovered I fit a pack of shot bloks through it, or loosely push a poop bag through so I don’t even need to open the zipper compartment!
Sunday I walked Pixel for 3 miles while listening to podcasts, and had everything contained in my running belt. Then I went for a short 2 mile run, and no slipping or bouncing, the belt stayed nice and secure. Later in the day I went for another walk, and then wore the belt while in the house doing chores listening to music. Honest opinion I am really happy with this running belt!
- Comfortable
- Adjustable
- Works for me or Bob (he has the iPhone 6+)
- Sweatproof
- Large pocket for STUFF
- Access to phone through the clear cover
I also know from trying to take pics in low light that the grey around the clear cover is reflective! Bonus safety feature. I loved the belt, can’t speak to the earbuds because I don’t use those type. I have weird ears, they always fall out. I used my Tweedz, which I am still loving. I like the earbuds with the little covers on that fit snuggly into my ears. I’m sure Bob will be snagging those earbuds though.
This belt would be a great Christmas gift! As of TODAY it’s priced at just $15.95-$16.95

This is really neat! I don’t run but I do occasionally go for long walks or hikes. This would be a great tool for those!
Di Hickman
pretty much what I use it for 80% of the time 🙂
Denea Duran
I just started running again. Not a fan of the arm thing so maybe I will try this! Thanks for sharing!
Di Hickman
yeah me either! Much prefer the belt!
sarah
right, I’ve got the pouch, I’ve got the motivation, now all I need to do is get up off the couch and go.
Di Hickman
Consider this your kick up the pants! or running shorts…
JanetGoingCrazy
This looks like a great belt for a runner. I have one friend who loves to run marathons so I’ll tell her about this sale!
Di Hickman
Great!

I don’t have any fitness items on my list because I basically have all that I’ve wanted before, and haven’t gotten around to using them yet. I’d like to explore kettlebells soon.
Di Hickman
Definitely do! I love kettlebells, I have a KB workout on my blog 🙂 http://www.dihickman.com/12-minute-kettlebell-workout/
Susannah
Wow! This sounds so fantastic!
Di Hickman
it really is! Just used it to walk my dog!
Brandy M
I have just started exercising again and this would be PERFECT for that. I need something to entertain myself while I am exercising or I get bored really fast.
Di Hickman
me too! I’ve had a couple of races where earphones weren’t allowed and it was like a slow run to death. So boring!
Julie @ Girl on the Move
I run daily and this would be perfect when I’m out for a run…especially the longer ones! Can’t wait to check these belts out!
Di Hickman
Definitely! I’m trying to get back into running 3x week!
alexandria
There ya, go. You found one. I need an arm band for my phone; definitely with a clear cover.
Di Hickman
I have two arm bands, but much prefer the belt. No storage in an arm band.
beccadorr
I have an arm band with a clear cover and it’s so much easier! Unfortunately it hasn’t had much use haha
Di Hickman
I have an arm band too, however I prefer the belt as I get to carry my keys, cards/money and poop bags. Those arm bands have zero room for ‘stuff’.
Erin (@SugarCrumbs)
I’m not a runner but I so want to be! Maybe buying one will inspire me to keep trying!
Di Hickman
If you haven’t heard of it I recommend couch to 5K. Great program for beginning runners! Also Runkeeper app is great for seeing progress. If you get it friend me @workoutwithdi 🙂
Nicole Torres (@DesignItVintage)
I have one and its in my drawer. I need to get up and out running.
Di Hickman
I’m sensing a goal for 2016?
Michelle @ Sunshine and Hurricanes.com
Clear? That’s genius! Love that feature in this belt!!!!
Di Hickman
I know right! Genius!
WholeFoodBellies
Well I never thought I would need a running belt (not the biggest running fan), but now that you have pointed out all their other uses (and how annoying is it that yoga pants don’t have pockets!), I think one would definitely come in handy around here!
Di Hickman
Oh definitely! I love running belts in the summer when I wear shorts and tanks too because I definitely DON’T want to have a jacket or backpack in the SO Cal summer heat!
Deb Clem-Buckert (@debclembuckert)
I totally need this. I just got a heart monitor that syncs with my phone.
Di Hickman
I got one of those too! Yes this would be a great addition for your workouts!
Scraps
That’s clever! I’m not a runner but this would be great on our walks to keep my hands free and, like you said, even around the house listening to audio books. I don’t mind that my yoga pants don’t have pockets (I sincerely don’t need the extra bulk in that area, lol) but having a pouch at hand would certainly be helpful! Great review, Di!
Di Hickman
Yep plus it’s nice and slimline, no bulk! Definitely great for listening to music while doing boring chores.
Heather
Definitely not a runner, but I have been trying to figure out a way to hold onto my phone while I am on the elliptical (which doesn’t have a magazine holder), this is a great idea. And I am constantly listening to music and podcasts around the house while doing chores, but have a hard time keeping my phone with me unless I have pockets. Definitely putting this on my list.
Di Hickman
Hahaha I do the same thing! That’s why I LOVED this belt. I could easily change from podcast to music playlist or pandora. I still think yoga pants need pockets though 😉
yanique
Thanks for sharing this. It’s so hard to find a good running belt!
Di Hickman
It is!!!
Ana De Jesus
This is fantastic and so much better than carrying a heavy rucksack. Much better for your back!
Di Hickman
Definitely better for your back!
Debra
I just bought my first running belt, but it isn’t everything I hoped for. Going to check this one out!
Di Hickman
I liked it a lot! Definitely kept everything I needed in the pack plus access to my phone.
Esther @ The Cuteness
I’m no runner, but I’m so glad you found something you love! I gave up running long ago, plantar fasciitis was too much for me!
Di Hickman
Ouch! I suffered with PF too! Rolling & ice helped
Cynthia @craftoflaughter
I have so many running belts because I havent found the one. Thanks for your review
Di Hickman
Hahaha me too! This is it for me.
