Ok it's workout Wednesday and I have a genuine question: Does anyone buy their race day photos? I have to say I've not bought any... yet. We got a deal previously for some free photos and I definitely took advantage of that but I have to say that I haven't been overly impressed with any of my race day photo's until now! I can't be too upset I guess as the local "Gator Run " used my pic on their flier for 2 years! But really, that's an awful pic right? It doesn't look very athletic. Then there …

Race Recap: Camarillo Duathlon 2014 #2 – March
Race number #2 of the 2014 duathlon series. The weather on Saturday was breezy so we were hoping for some better weather. With the time change Saturday night we were exhausted losing that hour sleep :( But we got up bright and early and got ourselves ready for the race. It was chilly at 6:45am too, darn that time change! The weather was definitely better than Saturday though, thankfully! The sunrise was beautiful coming up behind us. The race itself was... ok. Both …
Race Recap: Camarillo Duathlon 2014 #1 – February
In October 2013 we did our first duathlon and it was so much fun, hard but fun! We knew we wanted to do it again and Elite Sports Ventura County has a series of duathlons throughout the year that we knew we wanted to do as many as possible in 2014. That meant signing up for February, March and Aprils events, as well as becoming a USAT member! As always the goal with ANY race is to push to finish and beat your own previous time. As this course is the same as last years it's a great way to …
Music: Les Mills workout music
Firstly apologies for not getting the new bodypump and cxworx playlists up on the blog yet. I'm currently waiting on iTunes to approve my application for a collections/iMix account. Hopefully once that goes through I will have access again to creating playlists for you to purchase in iTunes. Until then I thought I'd share that Les Mills are finally getting with it and realizing that class members want the music. Last year they released four albums via iTunes for all the Les Mills music …

Race Recap: Xterra Boney Mountain 6K
Ok time for a race recap! Sunday we ran the Boney Mountain Xterra 6k trail race. Now I will say the ONLY reason we ran this race is because I want us to run one race a month (minimum) and this was the only one I could find that wasn't crazy expensive. Plus I figured we hadn't done a trail race so it'd be fun... hahaha that seems laughable now as I sit here with almost every muscle in my body screaming at me. Anyhow onto the raceday review! Let's first start by saying that this race was well …
Race Recap – Say No To Drugs Universal Studios Backlot 5k – 2013 edition
What a weekend!!! Saturday we saw a movie and had dinner at Real Food Daily! Starting with lentil walnut pate, with tofu sour cream, wheat-free rice crackers and crudités Bob had the club sandwich with crispy seitan, tempeh bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato and vegenaise on sourdough bread. He couldn't wait and ate one before I took a photo! I opted for the SUPREME BURRITO wet w/ ranchero sauce, Spanish rice, black beans, melted cashew cheese, tempeh bacon, sautéed peppers and onions, …

Race Recap – (inaugural) Hard Rock Cafe 5k
Today I thought I'd share my race recap of the Hard Rock Cafe 5k we ran on Saturday morning. The race started at 7am and as it was in Hollywood we had to get up at 4:45am!!! Urgh! We did NOT like that at all. Once we got there we were ok, but getting up and out the door was TOUGH! The T-shirts for the event were nice tech shirts and custom bibs too! I like custom bibs, it makes my race wall look good ;) Once we arrived we went for the obligatory pre-run bathroom break along with the other 2000 …
Race Recap: Camarillo Duathlon
So Sunday we woke up at the crack of dawn (actually before dawn!) to go to our first duathlon. We left the house at 6:45 am after grabbing some breakfast on our way to Camarillo. We arrived around 7:25 for our race which was due to start at 8:20. Why get there so early? Because the roads would be closed off around 7:30 so we just scraped in under the wire ;) When we parked up we got the bikes off the truck and set them up at the transition area.... this is where we discovered we were part of the …
