It's race recap time for the Hollywood Half Marathon/10k/5k. I signed up for this as a cyber Monday deal back in 2013 and so though it's been on the schedule planner for a while it definitely crept up on us! April is a tough month with THREE events this month! Race Recap: The Great Race of Agoura Hills 5k 2014
So today I'm going to recap the race we ran Saturday. Of the four distances offered at this race we opted to do the Deenna Kastor 5k which we did back in 2011. The Great Race is proud to name its 5K after former Agoura High School standout Deena Kastor, who set the 5K WORLD RECORD at 14:54 in 2002. Deena grew up running in The Great Race. Race Recap: Camarillo Duathlon 2014 #1 – February
In October 2013 we did our first duathlon and it was so much fun, hard but fun! We knew we wanted to do it again and Elite Sports Ventura County has a series of duathlons throughout the year that we knew we wanted to do as many as possible in 2014. Race Recap – (inaugural) Hard Rock Cafe 5k
Today I thought I'd share my race recap of the Hard Rock Cafe 5k we ran on Saturday morning. The race started at 7am and as it was in Hollywood we had to get up at 4:45am!!! Urgh! We did NOT like that at all. Once we got there we were ok, but getting up and out the door was TOUGH! The T-shirts for the event were nice tech shirts and custom bibs too!
