Sept 2014 Spinning Playlsit

October 3, 2014 //  by Di Hickman//  Leave a Comment

sept2014- spin playlist wowdi

Ok time for some MUSIC! Here is one of my playlists from September 2014. This one was a fun mix of old, new, dance, rock, pop, country and rap… pretty much like most of my playlists really. A totally eclectic mish mash of music. I’m going to try and get another playlist up in October, for Breast Cancer Awareness, Golds Gym is doing some fundraising so I like to add my own flair, so I’ll try to finalize a playlist for that soon 🙂 Here’s the September playlist:

Now or Never – Outasight. [iTunes / Amazon]   This is a fun pop track for an easy warm up

What’s Love (Club Mix) – Brazen  [iTunes / Amazon – not available]    Great remix of a Tina Turner song. It’s really fun seeing some older tracks reaching new audiences with remixes from upcoming DJs. This is a nice subtle tempo climb. I generally add  about 30-40% resistance and climb to tempo in the saddle and 2nd.

Best I ever had – Gavin Degraw  [iTunes / Amazon]     This one is a little country, I like to appeal to ALL genres in my playlsits. As a rule I don’t like much country but I like this one 🙂 Fast and Fun sprints with easy recovery. Spin to tempo, you’ll see the fast and furious and the easy recoveries.

Just Can’t Get Enough – Depeche Mode  [iTunes / Amazon]     CLIMB CLIMB CLIMB in the saddle. I like 80’s for climbs, people know them and can push through. Start around 60% reistance and add more every minute.

Let’s get ridiculous – Redfoo  [iTunes / Amazon]     Climb in the saddle and in 3rd! At “let’s get crazy, wild, wild in the crowd” add 20% more resistance and come into 3rd. Then PUSH. Go faster here if you can, kill it! Make the crowd go “HO!”

Listen to your heart – Nick Skitz  [iTunes / Amazon]   I LOVE THIS REMIX!!! Old school song, with an old school remix. Reminds me of 2unlimited or mortal kombat feel. Love love love. Sprints, listen to it, you’ll FEEL it!

Word Up – Cameo  [iTunes / Amazon]     Add resistance and options are climb or jumps on hill. I like jumps on a hill, but at 4 minutes it’s a long song so choose your poison 😉

Mignight Scrubs (TLC vs M83) – DJ Lobsterdust [Grab it here]   Love this guys remixes! He did the Nelly/Bee Gees remix on another playlist. Climb, usually for me it’s saddle or second. Give people the opportunity to sing lol!

How I feel – Flo Rida  [iTunes / Amazon]  Climb in all positions, adding with each successive saddle climb, Nina is down in the saddle, flo Rida is UP. Make them WORK hard before they get the break from resistance coming up 😉

My signature moves – P!nk   This is on the Truth about Love album but unfortunately you can’t buy it as a single MP3 🙁 It’s great for springs. LOVE IT!

la la la remix –  Naughty Boy/Ministry of Sound [iTunes / Amazon only available on album]  Climb for this dance remix of otherwise kinda blah song for spin. Starts slow but the groove comes in and gives you the tempo, love it.

what I’ve done 2011 (sunray Bootleg mix) – Linkin Park  [not on amazon or iTunes, probably got this on a dance remix album?]   Hahaha I should have called this the remix playlist! I absolutely LOVE this remix. I love Linkin Park for climbs, but add a dance beat underneath and I’m SOLD! This is essential to a playlist lately for me. Tempo climbs, in saddle and second.

Ring the Alarm (freemasons club mix) – Beyonce  [iTunes / Amazon]  I found this recommended online and WOW. Amazing, I love the Tranformas remix but the Freemasons Club Mix is the BOMB! Last climb and it’s killer long!

Hey Ya – Outkast  [iTunes / Amazon]   Take the resistance down and spin easy to recover. People generally know this one and get all clappy happy, lol.

Safe and Sound – Capital Cities  [iTunes / Amazon]  Stretch. The end.

More music playlists are available under my music category, and I’ll be posting the new BodyPump playlist on the 11th October!
