Review: Lotus Vegan (2)

It’s been a while since my last review of Lotus Vegan restaurant and since then we’ve been again! I was hesitant to post another review but here we go! I was determined to try something different so I opted to veer away from the combo menu and order a dinner instead. Bob stuck with the old faithful of yellow curry but I wanted something different and boy did I get it! Red Nah!

This is the noodle dish Red Nah. It’s flat rice noodles with broccoli and house special gravy sauce and tofu! Honestly I won’t have it again or recommend it. The broccoli and tofu were nice but the sauce and noodles were yukky. The noodles were slimy and I’ve had rice pasta, it tastes good. This however did not taste good. The sauce was congealed in places and that totally put me off the whole thing. In future I’ll skip the noodles at the thai restaurant! Lesson learned!

As I left most of my noodles I opted to try a piece of the cake…

Yes we ate it all. It was presented well and tasted great but it wasn’t a par on Follow Your Heart (10/10 and the scale we measure all other cakes too) or Doomies (9.5/10). I’d give this cake a 7.5/10 as it really was a nice vegan cake but we’re used to better 😉

Have you tried vegan thai or vegan cakes?
