Review – Doomies (2)

October 21, 2013 //  by Di Hickman//  Leave a Comment

Back at the end of July we were once again downtown Los Angeles at a Bafta movie screening and decided to revisit Doomies. I’d reviewed them previously and was determined to try some different menu items this time! I stated last time that I ate a LOT of wheat at the last Doomies visit and paid the price, so I was determined to eat less wheat this time! Hello LA!

This time I ordered an entree and it came with soup or salad. I opted for soup! I forget what it was called but it had mushrooms in it, lots of mushrooms. I love mushrooms. I was happy 🙂

As a side we ordered off the Doomies secret menu! Yeah it seems all the damn restaurants are doing secret menus and Doomies is no different! Chili cheese fries! Now they weren’t as good as Native Foods (review soon!) but they were good! Again as I mentioned in my last review for Doomies, this is vegan JUNK FOOD! What do you expect: chili cheese fries!

For my main entree I had the chicken dinner. I forget what it’s called and there is no website or online menu (something that needs changing Doomies!) so I can’t look it up. The chicken was delicious, like old country cooking. Potatoes delicious, Bob ate the roll and I devoured the corn!

As with mine I can’t remember what sandwich Bob had, I need to get on these reviews promptly rather than waiting. I tried some and it was good. The fries were a little dry for my tastes.

Have you been to Doomies?
