Q&A: how soon to see cxworx results?

April 26, 2013 //  by Di Hickman//  Leave a Comment

QnA2013april

Time for a Q&A session today!

Hi! I started doing Cxworx last year when it was first offered at the gym I went to. I only went to a few classes before I started a new job, and the classes no longer fit into my schedule… I’ve found a new gym with classes that DO fit with my new schedule, and I’ve started going again. I LOVE the class!!It’s my absolute favourite!

My question is how long will it take before I see any noticeable difference? And… how much cardio should I incorporate into my weekly routine? I’m doing Cxworx 4 times a week. I’m in my 40’s, and have noticed the scale starting to creep up a bit lately… hoping the combination of the two will put me back on track.

Hi Tammy! Thanks for the comment 🙂 I’m glad you love CXworx, me too! I have to say that I do have a love/hate relationship with some of the moves though. The latest release #10 is kicking my ass LITERALLY! Track 4 is really whipping my butt into shape lol!

Yes you really need the combo of cardio along with the CXworx classes. Time sounds like an issue for you as you have a new job, so I’d suggest intervals rather than steady state cardio. Plus the bonus is it’s better for you and burns more fat. If your gym doesn’t offer intervals then you can do them yourself just get out and run/walk. 30-45 minutes should be good 2-3 times a week.

Taking the class 4x a week is great however you won’t see results if your core is covered in a layer of fat. You cannot out-train a bad diet, and you need some cardio/strength training to work in combination with the CXworx. It’s a whole mind-body approach. It’s a combination of healthy diet, strength/core, cardio and flexibility.

Hope this helps!
