Make your own pockets – running belts

running belt fit flux review

Disclosure:  It’s always my policy to make you aware… I received this product for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions expressed are my own ‘cos I tell it like it is. I’m honest, to a fault, like seriously if you want an opinion on something ask me, my filters are on low and my mouth jumps ahead of my brain a lot! This post may contain affiliate links to items that I recommend and use almost every single day.

Mo’ pockets, Mo’ problems – said nobody ever. One of the problems I have is not enough pockets. Women’s clothing seems to be severely lacking in pockets PERIOD! Yoga pants – no pockets, shorts – usually no pockets or a key pocket big enough for ONE key, and cycling shorts – forget it! Women’s fitness clothing is apparently made for women that have no phone, tissues, keys, poop bags or basically anything. Which is why running belts were invented. I say invented, when really they are just the newer slimline version of a fanny pack. Think of them as the cinderella to the ugly step-sisters of running belts. Recently I got to try the adjustable running belt by Fit Flux and was seriously impressed.

The belt is fully adjustable and fits XS through to XL. For me it was perfect. The velcro fastening made it super snug and secure for running or I could have it a little looser and lower on my my hips for walking. The material is very soft and comfortable which is important, nothing worse than scratchy velcro digging in while you are running. And the material expands around whatever item you put in so it forms around the bunch of keys rather than having a massive lump sticking out.

As you can see I managed to store my iPhone 6, house keys (sometimes car keys too!), plus dog poop bags! This little pack definitely packs a punch. The pocket is one long pocket around with two openings. There is a key strap and hook on one end so you never lose your keys but honestly I didn’t notice that till about a week after I got it. My keys never fell out but I can see that if you have ONE key (who does that???) this would be a great feature.

All in all I was super happy with this running belt and I’ve used it for running, walking and cycling. The belt is nice and secure and I feel like my valuables are nearby, supported and secure. Definitely two thumbs up!
