As we hurtle through the year and find ourselves in September I have to acknowledge that in just a few months I have a major milestone birthday. Over the years birthdays come and go but every 10 years we hit milestones. During this time it’s easy to get caught up in thinking about bucket lists, looking to the future at life “running out”. Admittedly, that was me at the beginning of the year. Then I found myself looking at the past, everything I had experienced so far in my time on the planet. Now, as the occasion draws closer, I find myself more in the present. So much that this month’s coloring page features a, live in the present quote I’ve been journaling and exploring lately.

When I look back and my life a lot has happened. So many memories, good and bad. Thankfully, very few regrets. The older I get the more I realize that life is to be lived in the present, no the past, not the future but the now. Something that feels tougher and tougher to do in today’s society. Personally instead, I’m bucking trends, putting my phone down, and going inwards, as I take time for a mid-life reassessment! Highly recommend living life in real-time, rather than watching it afterwards on your phone.
