As things slowly return to some semblance of “normal” I feel like a bear coming out of hibernation. Poking my head out of my cave, slightly dazed, confused, and yet at the same time seeing the World with new eyes. Since I got my vaccines I’ve returned to in-person classes, and clients. Heck, I’ve been to Disney California. Twice! While I find myself slowly returning to a semblance of normal, we need to be reminded to be thankful for what we have, and to seize each and every opportunity that comes our way with a grateful heart.

Life, my friends is a journey. We all have the same destination, and I don’t know about you but I want to prolong this journey for as long as possible. That means rather than over-analyzing (as I am prone to doing) instead I am saying yes to living a life of purpose, passion, and fulfillment. This is heavy on my heart lately as my mother is enduring dialysis three times a week, and a close friend is fighting stage 4 cancer. A stark reminder that gratitude is paramount. While I may lament about not having enough time, their battles put things into perspective. Life is a journey, enjoy the ride. You never know how long it will last.

As art imitates life, all this is the reason behind the journey quote coloring page this month. Coloring is a great way for anyone to reduce anxiety and relieve stress. Even if just for a short while you can switch off and relax. Plus it’s a great alternative to meditation when your mind just won’t let go.
