How to tie a yoga strap

While some yoga straps have buckles and can be straightforward to tie, it’s more typical for straps to have D rings. They can leave beginners a little confused as to how these connect and connect securely. So grab your strap and we’ll go through how to tie a yoga strap with D rings. Start with your strap lengthened out long. Take the d rings in one hand and the “tail” in the other.

Thread the tail through both of the d rings and pull it through. Then pass the tail over the ring closest to the tail and under the ring furthest away. Pull through and then let go of the tail. The loop goes around your body and secures you. Once in the loop, you can make the loop tighter by pulling on the tail. To release complete the action in reverse. I hope this shows you how easy it is to tie a yoga strap with d rings! And you try this and other yoga props in your next practice!
