Sunday I got the chance to go to the Crossfit Games in California. One of my Personal Training clients had tickets and couldn’t go on Sunday so she gave them to me! Yes I know, awesome right?
Anyway Bob and I headed to Carson for the games on Sunday morning. We had silver passes which meant soccer stadium only but we were ready to make the most of things. We headed right for the stadium and found some seats…
That mornings event was the Sprint Chipper. Basically some sit ups, some snatches and wall burpees. When I saw wall burpee on the description I had no clue, well this sucker was a burpee, climb over a 5’1″ wall to the other side then burpee: repeat NINE times. In all the events only lasted around 3-4 minutes but you could see the exhaustion in the athletes!
I will say that the Personal Trainer in me cringed numerous times at the bad form but I pushed that to one side and just focused on the athletes and the atmosphere! The morning events were pretty much over by 11:30 so we did a little shopping… I got some great tanks but more on that soon! Then we headed out for a late lunch to Native Foods… which I’ll review soon!
I don’t do crossfit but I definitely appreciate the athleticism involved in crossfit (or any sport for that matter). All in all a great day!

That’s so cool that your client thought of you and it looks like it would have been a great experience. I’ve never done crossfit and I cringe the same way you do but give them all much respect for the goals they work towards and achieve. So cool and next time…take me!!!

Hahaha ironically I had to drag my hubby along as my BFF couldn’t make it (kids birthday) so I needed someone to go with!
Absolutely though, the athletes were totally inspiring !!!!
