Circle pattern coloring pages – October Free Printable

October 1, 2021 //  by Di Hickman//  2 Comments

Can you believe it’s October already? Seriously, where is 2021 going? My mother delights in telling me “It’ll soon be Christmas!”, and at this point, she’s not wrong. For me, it always feels like as soon as we hit Halloween, then BAM it’s New Year. Those weeks of November and December fly by! Then everything comes back full circle. Such is life. Of course, a new month means a new free printable, and this month it’s Circle pattern coloring pages.

What’s coming around full circle for me lately is the whole room. In that, it’s spinning. As many of you may remember I suffer from vertigo and last week it came at me full force. As such I’ve been taking the opportunity to move less and create more.

Lately, I’ve been enjoying creating mixed images using the new geometric patterns from my upcoming coloring book, paired with geometric shapes. Like the coloring page for this October. Coincidentally featuring circles. And this month I did something a little brave, and went with my gut and did the background black. Honestly, I’ve done a few this way for my own journals and pages and I like it. The colors can really POP on a darker background. Plus, it is October!

Each time I sit down to start a new monthly coloring page l I have a theme for the month in mind. For some reason, circles come to mind lately. The feeling of ending, and yet also beginning. That is, after all, the meaning of a circle. No end, no beginning, just a continuous journey. The circles overlap to show how all our lives layer, maybe generations, perhaps friendships. The patterns inside, reflect the intricate mess of life we deal with and try to make sense of. Monochrome shows how we all try and fit in, but when we allow our colors to shine we stand out and reveal our true selves.

As you can tell I’m feeling quite insightful lately. Lots of creative energy. Fall has me in its grasp and I’m also feeling like hibernating. Fall and winter are traditionally my times of re-evaluation and this year feels like things are arriving early.

Anyone else feeling the same vibe?

If you like the coloring freebie and want more then check out my Etsy store! I have more coloring pages and printables. These are great projects for kids, or make fun additions to journals and planners. My best seller is the geometric pattern book. For some reason I like geometric designs, always have! Volume 2 should be released later this month! Stay tuned.
