So we have a new dog in our lives and I'm doing my damnedest to make sure he's as healthy as can be which means making my own dog cookies. I do this because frankly I'm sick of the dog good recalls and all the dogs getting sick from these ingredients and cookies from China. One of the things that I'm constantly amazed at is the price of granola. Basically it's just oats, nuts and seeds right? Why so pricey? I recently found a recipe online at 100 days of real food and adapted it to my tastes. The difference? My dogs LOVE treats, especially this spotty monster above! River loves food and walks, not necessarily in that order. Today is National waffle day and to celebrate I thought I'd share a waffle recipe I made recently. As always I take a recipe, and then switch out ingredients to make it healthier, cleaner, and wheat free. Earlier this week I made a delicious tasty salad using leftover food in the refrigerator. It was a quick and easy meal, prepared and eaten with 20 minutes!
