This weeks workout goes back to cardio/strength circuit training. Again we're doing 45 seconds of work with 15 seconds of rest for all exercises, repeat the whole thing 5 times for a total of a 20 minute workout, plus warm up/cooldown! As always feel free to tweak the times/sets. Video embedded below :) This week I did something different and I'd love your feedback on it. I edited the workout into two versions regular and beginner/low impact. On each video there is the exercise breakdown, …

Bobs birthday – follow your heart, disneyland, california adventure, rainforest cafe
So as I mentioned already Wednesday was Bobs birthday! One thing we've done for a long time (almost the whole time we've been together) is to take the day off and just go out and DO something. Sometimes it's just going to our favorite restaurants, or shopping, but sometimes its a big bonanza day out. This year was a mix of all of them for a fun packed day! Warning: lost post, lots of pics :) We started the day with late breakfast as we'd been up late watching Lord of the Rings, then birthday …

Recipe: Strawberry & Tofurky sausage Salad With Potatoes
Earlier this week I made a delicious tasty salad using leftover food in the refrigerator. It was a quick and easy meal, prepared and eaten with 20 minutes! Everything except the sausage was precooked and sitting in the fridge waiting to be tossed together :) Quick grill of the sausage was the ONLY cooking involved in this lunch :) What follows isn't really a recipe but a "how I threw together a quick, easy and delicious lunch" guide. Salad Ingredients: Lettuce - I used Romaine Cherry …

Review: Natural Cafe
One of the places we like to eat at a lot is the Natural Cafe, and as I get asked a lot what I eat when I go out I thought I'd do a little post about one of my favorite places to dine. I first went to Natural Cafe about 8 years ago when we went up to Santa Barbara for a whale watching day. Since then they have expanded and we now have a choice of Four local-(ish) Natural Cafe locations to choose from: Simi Valley, Moorpark, Westlake and Newbury Park. Depending on where we are either could be our …

CXworx 7 tracklist
As I already posted the BodyPump playlist for release 82, I figured let's do CXworx 7 too! I get asked a lot about the music playlists for the new releases (almost as much as my spin playlists) I figured I'd just post them to my blog. Now these may not be the EXACT mixes you hear in class, those are often tailor made for us by the music guru's Les Mills. Warmup : End Of Time (Beyoncé) Core Strength 1 : Alive (Dirty South & Thomas Gold feat. Kate Elsworth) Standing Strength 1 : Know Your …

The Les Mills playlist is below, Warm Up: Raining Diamonds - Ricki-Lee Squats: Someone Like You (Kris McTwain Club Edit) - N-Finity Chest: I Like How It Feels - Solitary Phase Back: Bring Me To Life (Hands Up Club Mix) - Jan …
2012 – Goals, in one little word
Yes it's January 1st and like every other blogger out in blogland I'm going to talk about my goals for 2012. In previous years I've used ONE WORD to encompass my goals for the year. A focus word. This concept started back when I was also working in the creative industry by a blogger called Ali Edwards and the concept stuck for me. Previous years words have been: Focus - 2007: This was my first year doing this and I just wanted to refocus my efforts, and find some drive to complete …
