5 minute Bosu interval workout 2014/04/23 – with advanced options

April 23, 2014 //  by Di Hickman//  Leave a Comment

Yay workout Wednesday! I really tried to get this video done yesterday and got outside in the afternoon only to find the battery dead on my camera, wah wah waahhhhhh! I charged it then got outside this morning to do my video. I will say I’m having FUN doing these videos again and hope to get a theme going each month. Obviously the last workout was with the Bosu so I’m going to finish off this month with the bosu too!

If you don’t have a bosu then I highly recommend them! Especially if you workout at home, they are super fun. You can get them on Amazon (affiliate link). Here’s the video for this week:

Keep watching till the end for a “Pixel the needy dalmatian” appearance! I swear I had to shut him in the living room in the end… Also remember to subscribe to my Youtube channel for more workout videos! Plus I’m going to be putting out some vlogs, Q&A and nutrition videos soon too! Feel free to share my videos and workouts too via facebook, blogs, pinterest… lets get the word out and get fit and healthy! As always here is a pinnable infographic of the workout:

This workout has some advanced options, which are just that: options! I show the easier version first then the advanced version. Starting with squats. Last week we had feet on the floor and used the bosu as a weight. This week we’re on top! Dome down is going to be harder so choose YOUR option!

Second exercise is lunges. In the video I show you THREE versions!!! Again feet on the floor and HOLDING the bosu is going to be easier, then dome up, and hardest dome down! You can tell the hardest because my leg shakes more 😉

Exercise three is a burpee. Now everyone talks smack about burpees but add in the weight of the bosu, around 12 pounds, and that takes the burpee up a notch! If you wanted to really kill yourself add in a push up on the burpee 😉

Last but not least mountain climbers!!! The added challenge here is balancing whilst switching legs. Balance training is so important in any fitness routine, make sure you don’t skimp out on that! I love the bosu for balance training!

And that’s this weeks workout. Let me know what you think, and also let me know what kind of videos you want to see here at Workoutwithdi!!!!

TBT tomorrow!
