Ok firstly apologies for not posting since Sunday! I actually thought I’d scheduled a post to go out Monday, turns out I didn’t lol. I swear I’m getting ditzy in my old age 😉 Anyway today is WORKOUT WEDNESDAY! For me it was done on Tuesday in an attempt to get ahead but didn’t get chance to edit it yesterday as I had to head out and teach Cxworx and spin class. This one was tough for me as I had 2 little assistants, hopefully YOUR workout will go smoother.

This workout is ALL standing because my Mum requested an all standing workout. She broke her wrist about 2 months ago and has limited range of movement in her wrist still, she’s going to physiotherapy but until then getting up and down off the floor is difficult so standing workouts it is. I know, I’m a good daughter 😉 First up we have high knees, which is basically exaggerated jogging on the spot.
The second exercise is prisoner squats. I love these for working the legs, glutes, shoulders and back. Feet hip distance apart, toes forward, sit down and stand up. I like the fingers at temples to work the upper back and help with posture.
Next up is a 2-way lunge. This counts twice as you’ll do it with both legs leading into that forward lunge, then stepping back. Knees at 90 degrees, and front thigh parallel to the floor.
Lastly is a jump squat. Squatting back then jumping nice and high before landing softly.
Finish your workout with the stretch at the end. I’ll be going over the stretch portion in another post 🙂 Make sure you get plenty of dog hugs too
