Back in 2015 when I decided to invest in a beauty subscription box I had so many options open to me. Seriously, if you haven’t noticed there are TONS of these suckers now. A few months prior to signing up my subscription box I’d taken part in an influencer promotion. Receiving a box full of health & skincare goodies, and on opening realizing that I couldn’t use 2/3 of them as they weren’t vegan or cruelty free. I needed something in the vegan niche. All the products in the subscription box needed to be 100% cruelty free. Thankfully I found Vegan Cuts!

What is Vegan Cuts?
Vegan Cuts is a subscription box service, and vegan online store. They offer a , monthly beauty box, a quarterly makeup box, and the occasional special edition box. All products in the boxes are 100% Vegan. That means they contain no animal products, are 100% cruelty free. Rather than just shove products in boxes they try every product, and support cruelty free companies. Plus the subscription boxes are themed in a certain way, showing thought and care is put every monthly box.
Monthly beauty subscription box?
Vegan Cuts beauty subscription box is honestly the easiest way for me to get cruelty-free beauty and skincare products without spending tons of moolah! Every month a box arrives at my door containing 4-7 new products. Each product is vegan, 100% cruelty free, contains no parabens and is mostly organic/natural. A typical boxes retail value is $40-$60 though I’ve had some close to $80! Each box contains full size and deluxe sample size products. There are NO single use sachets!!! With free shipping to the U.S, and prices as low as $18.50 a month I give them two thumbs up!
January’s Beauty Box
Sometimes when my subscription box arrives I whip it open and dive in immediately. Other month’s end up being like a slow simmer, where I peruse at a leisurely pace. January was the latter. I kept meaning to do an unboxing video, and just never seemed to get time. So I just decided that it was time to share what was in the box here on the blog and put ‘video unboxing’ onto February’s to-do list. In the January box there were SIX products. Inside the box was a lip & cheek balm, bath bomb, exfoliant mask, deodorant, eye cream and hair conditioner. Total value of this box is $66.48 which is freaking amazing! Let’s dive in and see what we got.
Jersey Shore Cosmetics – Lip & Cheek Balm (Red Hibiscus)
One reason I love getting a subscription box is that it introduces me to new brands and this one was a new one for me. It’s also one I’ll be looking forward to trying more of their products. This lip & cheek balm is pigmented with minerals and flowers. The boxes are split so you either get Red hibiscus or Baccara Rose. Mine contained the Red Hibiscus and I love it! This is a great hint of color for the cheeks and lips for daytime makeup. Full size product. Retail Value = $30
Enfusia – Fizz & Foam Bath Bomb (muscle bomb)
Remember when I said that the boxes were kinda themed? This box is “try something new”. Well along with a few new brands I guess they knew I’d been trying some new things in the gym and needed something to relax my muscles as this muscle bath bomb certainly checks that box. This bath bomb is infused with muscle-soothing epsom salts and reinvigorating essential oils. Deluxe sample product. Retail Value = $1.50
Clarisea – Charcoal Exfoliating Mask
Thanks to Vegan Cuts I’ve tried a few charcoal products (including toothpaste which was actually really good!), so I love this activated charcoal face mask. I have tried another charcoal mask which is totally black and looks kinda weird on. This one one by Clarisea is a silvery grey. It supposed to clear up skin and unclog pores which I am totally on board with both of those things. Deluxe sample size. Retail value $5
Stinkbug Naturals – Cream Deodorant (Tangerine Spice)
Back in my first Vegan Cuts subscription Box I’d gotten a sample of another cream deodorant and initially thought “wth? people use this in jars?”. Now I wouldn’t have it any other way. Seriously these are so good. Stinkbug Naturals do have this a stick deodorant but I like the jars now. Weird how things change with time. This has tangerine and clove combined with shea butter and coconut oil. Deluxe Sample size. Retail value = $2.99
Goddess Garden – Firming Eye Cream
Two skincare products I can never get too many of are Eye Creams and face serums. My skin is much drier now I’m older. I used to have oily skin, now it tends to be more dry. Especially in winter. So I was super happy to see an eye cream in this month’s box. I’d be happy with an eye cream every box, lol. This firming eye cream by Goddess Garden utilizes black elder to reduce puffiness and a variety of vitamins to nourish skin. I loved that it’s in a pump bottle because I tend to get a little heavy handed with these suckers. This is a full size product. Retail value = $17.99
Hair Care – Leave-in Conditioner
If eye cream and skin serums are my favorite skincare to get, then favorite haircare has to be conditioners. Seriously what happens to hair as you age? What was once soft as silk hair, is quickly becoming coarse as straw! Thankfully I’ve been getting some conditioners to try in the Vegan Cuts beauty boxes and so far my favorite has been the DermOrganic Intensive Hair Repair Masque. Seriously that is SO good! I’ve literally just ran out of the DermOrganic so I’ll be switching to the Briogeo leave-in conditioner this weekend. It’s a spray conditioner that hydrates without weighing the hair down. Deluxe sample size. Retail Value = $9
All in all I am super happy with this month’s box. As I mentioned, I’ve included links to some of the products on Vegan Cuts and Amazon. Many of these products are items you can add to your Amazon Dash buttons. Anyone else love Amazon? Seriously, Amazon Prime is the best thing ever! Oh and subscribe’n’save is amazing too. As much as I love Amazon though, Vegan Cuts beauty Subscription box is something I’ve committed to not just for the cruelty free products, but to introduce me to new brands, new products and to push me to try new things.
Thanks to Vegan Cuts:
- I started using eyebrow shadow/pencil and that sucker makes a BIG difference!
- All my beauty and skincare products are now 100% vegan!
- I found my favorite hair conditioner, and moisturizer
- Roll on perfumes are something I use almost daily – love those suckers!
- Discovered I love jar deodorants!
- I continue to push myself to try new products
- Discovered I like bar soaps rather than gels!
- mostly importantly I’m content knowing my beauty and skincare don’t cause harm to any animal.
If you haven’t tried Vegan Cuts subscription boxes I’d definitely check them out. I’ve been a member for 18 months and love their boxes. Plus their customer service rocks. Hopefully for February’s box I’ll be able to do a video unboxing, keep your fingers crossed for me!

Sara
I’m more of a natural product person, but I do appreciate that the products offered in this box are vegan and cruelty-free.
Di Hickman
That’s why I like these boxes Sara. Beauty and skincare products.
jalisa
Now that I’m older I will say that investing in beauty products that are more better for your health are worth while.
Di Hickman
Yes! With age comes wisdom. Seriously the crap I put on my face in my teens!!!
Ashley LaMar
I don’t find that I have much of a need for beauty product boxes because I don’t go through product that much. I prefer to be pretty natural so I find most of that stuff to be a waste. Good for beauty people though.
Di Hickman
That’s why I like this box. It’s skincare and beauty products. This one has a bias to more skincare than makeup. Remember moisturizers and shampoos etc often get tested on animals too!
Nikki Arnold
I really like that all the products are vegan and cruelty free! That bath bomb sounds great…I need one of those haha.
Di Hickman
I plan on using that soon on a home spa day!
Rachel Catherine
I LOVE the idea of this beauty box! I actually switch make-up brands last year because I found out the one I was using was still testing on animals.
Di Hickman
Yes! It can be so annoying to find the brand you use is no longer cruelty free. That’s why I switched to supporting vegan brands. They are always going to be cruelty free!
Keren Charles
I would love to try the charcoal facial mask. I’m in the market for a new skincare regimen. So I would love to hear your review of the product. Thanks for sharing.
Roxanne
I love that these are vegan! I would love to try that leave in conditioner!! Can’t wait to check it out!
Kristin
I’m always looking for more organic and cruelty free products to try out, so this box is right up my alley! Thanks for sharing!
Di Hickman
Yes, it’s so important what we put on our skin!
Heather
I’ve not used that box before, but I love the fact that it is cruelty free! I have tried that Clarisea product and it is very good! In fact you reminded me that I want to look into ordering the full size!
Di Hickman
Yes this is the third product of theirs I think I’ve tried and all have been great!
Belle
I haven’t had the chance to do subscription box thing. These sounds like a great subscription box. I will definitely check this out when I get a chance.
Belle
Di Hickman
THey are great for trying new products!
Dawn McAlexander
What a sweet box that is! I love those fizzy bath bombs. I remember that I used to use them back when I was single and living on my own a lot. I used to love how my skin felt when I climbed out of the tub after using them.
Di Hickman
Yes, I haven’t used them in ages as we switched to shower only due to the water conservation here in So Cal. Now with the all rain we’ve had I’m definitely adding baths back into my relaxation schedule!
Melissa
Being vegetarian and non-cruel I loved this option and need to pay more attention to the little makeup I use and ensure it complies with my values like you do. Stop complaining I love it!
Di Hickman
yep I was in the same position about 18 months ago, which is why I signed up. I’d recommend it wholeheartedly. Peace of mind!
Tereza
I haven’t tried any of these brands but so happy to see a cruelty free box, hope it comes to the UK soon! x
Di Hickman
They ship to the UK, but postage is expensive!
Angela Tolsma
cream deodorant sounds interesting and I would be curous has how to apply it. I have no nails and I won’t want it under them! The mask looks so neat, I would love to try a charcoal mask. I’ve recently starting to be more aware of what is in and how my products are made. It should be easier to find than it is.
Di Hickman
I agree it should be easier to find out! Cream deodorant can be applied with fingers yep. I usually apply it then wash my hands. Done! Good thing is less packaging = better for the environment too!
Heather (Brie Brie Blooms)
This looks like a great subscription box. I’d love that lip and cheek balm and it’s even better when it shows up in a monthly box!
Di Hickman
I love it too, great it’s multi purpose!
Rimsha
This is an amazing concept! I do my best to purchase cruelty free products but a subscription box would make it so much easier. If only I didn’t live so far 🙁
Di Hickman
They do international shipping, but yeah that can get expensive quickly
Debra
I think this box look so fun, I would love to get a box of product like this in the mail.
Di Hickman
Hey they deliver for free to the US!
Angela
This is such a lovely idea! And the fact that they’re 100% Cruelty Free makes it even better.
Di Hickman
yep! You can be assured everything is NOT tested on animals!
Joanna @ Everyday Made Fresh
Oh I didn’t know they even had vegan subscription boxes. That’s pretty awesome. I’m gonna check them out.
Di Hickman
Yep! There was a need. Too many boxes out there not catering to those of us who care how products are made
Jessi
How awesome! I love subscription boxes and the fact that this one is cruelty free is amazing! I will have to check them out
Di Hickman
Cruelty free is important! No need for animals to suffer so we can look good!
Terri Steffes
These look like awesome products. I like that you can be assured that the products are vegan.
Di Hickman
Definitely one of the reasons I love the subscription. Sometimes hard to tell if a product is really cruelty free
karen
With the bagillions of choices out there, we totally need to be more mindful of the cruelty-free options. Honestly, I havent heard of most of these brands you posted about but would love to now knowing their vegan framework.
Di Hickman
Honestly Karen, the ones I know of I know through my Vegan Cuts subscription. It’s a great way to find new brands!
