Taming Transitions - what flows between the postures
Any interruption to the Rhythm and flow of a yoga practice can cause disruption to the mind body connection. Learn how to transition seamlessly through the poses to build a deeper connection to your yoga as a whole practice. Body, mind, heart and breath.
Yoga is not just a flow, or something done only for flexibility. Remember that the word yoga means union. It’s a yoking of body, mind, breath, heart, soul and moving as a whole. It’s not a workout, but rather than a work-in.
In meditation we’re often encouraged to focus on the space between the breath, yet we’re often neglecting the space between the poses. The transitional space between stable grounded poses can become stuck, sloppy and injurious. Learn how to be present for the whole practice not just the poses.
This workshop will run from 10:30am – 12:30pm at Yoga Nook @5th, in Simi Valley. There will be both lecture, discussion and practicum, in an experiential format. Notes will be provided and open discussion encouraged. While learning from books and lectures is great, we gain our greatest knowledge retention by doing. Be prepared to move, and connect to the space between the poses
On the day $40
